Next training: Saturday 24 March 2018 in Trim
The next full-day safeguarding training for 2018 will take place at Trim Castle Hotel on Saturday 2 March, from 11:00am until 3:00pm.
The training will be facilitated by David Gavin and Antoinette Shaw.
The session is primarily intended for parish clergy and parish safeguarding representatives who have not recently taken part in the full-day training. Prepared by the National Board for Safeguarding Children, the training will focus on the seven safeguarding standards, recognising abuse and responding to concerns, as well as protocols for working safely with children.
The trainers have reviewed the parish self-audits and it is evident that, in a number of parishes, some personnel need to attend this training session.
