Latest newsletter published by Safeguarding Committee

David Gavin and Antoinette Shaw, Safeguarding Children Trainers in the Diocese of Meath, have published the latest newsletter from the Diocesan Safeguarding Children Committee.
This newsletter should be circulated among parish safeguarding representatives, clergy, sacristans, youth choir directors, catechists, volunteers and parents.  If more hardcopies are required, they can be ordered from the Diocesan Office.
The newsletter includes information on forthcoming information sessions for clergy and parish safeguarding representatives –

MONDAY 24 OCTOBER at 7.30pm in TULLAMORE (Parish Centre) 

WEDNESDAY 26 OCTOBER at 7.30pm in ASHBOURNE (Parish Centre) 

WEDNESDAY 16 NOVEMBER at 7.30pm in MULLINGAR (Mullingar Park Hotel) 

TUESDAY 22 NOVEMBER at 7.30pm in NAVAN (Parish Centre) 

During these sessions, the trainers will look at the changes in the revised policy and practices as outlined in the newsletter, as well as other questions including Garda vetting and preparation of the annual parish audit.

In addition, the trainers will host an information session for new parish safeguarding representatives and volunteers on the following dates –

TUESDAY 25 OCTOBER at 7.30pm in MULLINGAR (Parish Community Centre)

THURSDAY 10 NOVEMBER at 7.30pm in NAVAN (St Anne’s Pastoral Centre)
