1.1 Valuing our children
Children have a very important place in the Church. Their active participation in parish life is encouraged and, towards this end, the Diocese of Meath is committed to doing everything possible to create a safe and welcoming environment for children where their welfare is paramount. It is diocesan policy to ensure that children will be protected and supported in all Church - related activities. Valuing children means valuing church personnel as well: insisting on safe practices, eliminating the necessity for people to take risks and providing them with support will make for a healthier and safer environment.
